Mr. Sitonik brings a wealth of litigation experience built over the last 16 years having started out as an Associate at Ndegwa Muthama & Katisya Advocates and subsequently a Senior Partner at Ndegwa & Sitonik Advocates, Mombasa. He is the Team Leader at Sitonik Advocates

Mr. Sitonik holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Laws Degree. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Commissioner of Oaths, and a Notary Public. He is also a certified Mediator and Arbitrator. Aside from his legal practice, Mr. Sitonik is a Lecturer, Department of Public Law, at the University of Nairobi
Significant previous engagements
• Defending China Road and Bridge Corporation in claims filed in Courts and National Environment Tribunal and other forums for legal liabilities alleged to have arisen from the construction of the Nairobi –Mombasa and Nairobi-Mahiu Standard Gauge Railway.
• Represented Kenya Railways Corporation in the High Court of Kenya in handling complex courts cases and disputes arising from contracts and leases involving the Corporation.
•Advised Sarova Hotels, Pollmans Tours and Safaris Ltd, Baobab Beach Resort and Taita Hills Salt Lick Wildlife Management Co. Ltd on matters relating to Contracts, termination and dismissal, redundancy and discrimination, employment contracts, employment policies and procedures, review of HR manuals & policies and staff restructuring and also represented the entities in court relating to employment and contract issues.
• Providing legal advice to an international construction company on the alleged unfair termination of contracts of employees on fixed-term contracts that were coming to an end.
• Advising in the lending to a microfinance bank, including drafting complex documentation, obtaining approval from government agencies and registering the security documents, on behalf of the lender.
• Advising China Communications Construction Company Ltd (The Construction of Makupa Bridge & Approach Road Project) on legal matters relating to Contracts, Leases, Employment Contracts and related employment laws and regulations.
